Sold new at Stahl Motors in Monterey; it has the Stahl Motors license frames that were installed when plates were downsized in 1956; and is registered until December 2010 on its black California plates from 1963. An original Del Monte Forest badge from 1964 is still on the front bumper.
It is not rusty and does not show any signs of ever being apart or serious damage. Andes Tan Metallic over Wilshire Brown Metallic, were the original colors; and It has been repainted once in colors very much the same. Since that repaint, it has been spot painted at the back of the left rear fender area.
The upholstery is a soft tan leather in beautiful condition. The original dash plastic has a wonderful patina, and is not warped or broken. The dark brown cloth, vacuum operated power top works smoothly and there is no hydraulic fluid to leak or smell.
The original Packard radio, defroster foot-warmer, lights, instruments (except the clock) all work.
The straight eight engine starts easily, does not smoke or overheat, and pulls smoothly at all speeds. The exhaust system is tight and has a correct NOS muffler.
The brakes do not leak, pull or make any strange noises.
Although It is still on bias tires, it drives much better than many restored cars.

Even though there is no overdrive installed, it seems happy at 65 mph. Its transmission shifts easily; and the clutch, universal joints, drive shaft and rear axle work well together. In 1st and 2nd gears, the transmission sounds a bit like a Buick so I’d expect a worn countershaft bearing.
We now have an overdrive transmission complete with solenoid, governor, lock out cable, and a new YnZ od wiring harness that are included with the purchse
There is quite a bit of documentation with the car; and it seems we are the fourth owner. The previous family owned it well nearly 30 years, and we have enough paperwork to be nearly certain the car has always been here in central California.
An extremely rare Edmunds dual carburetor setup will be offered to the purchaser for $1500.
We purchased this car in January 2010; and have driven it nearly 2000 trouble free miles. It is for sale only because we recently purchased a second 1933 Packard and are out of garage space.
Please ask any questions you have, and be certain we will give you an honest answer. If you’d like more photographs, please provide your email address.

We will consider financing for a qualified buyer, and may take an interesting trade
